espnW 25 Power Rankings: Week 1

A new season of high school girls' basketball has begun, which means we've begun our quest to find the best teams in the nation.

We found a good one at Tennessee's Hamilton Heights. Among the elite a year ago, Hamilton Heights returns a loaded lineup led by Jazmine Massengill, a Tennessee signee, and Elizabeth Balogun, who is headed to Georgia Tech. The anchor in the middle and one of the most intriguing prospects in any class is 6-foot-6 sophomore center Kamilla Cardosa, who displays superb mobility and has emerged as an offensive force. The nation's top programs will be lining up to recruit her.

Hamilton Heights does already have a loss this season, 80-72 on the road to Paul VI, which begins our rankings at No. 3. That is balanced by a win over No. 7 Riverdale Baptist, in overtime.
